GamesRadar+ has named the ELO Vagabond the best mobile controller it has tested to date, scoring it 4.5 out of 5. Hardware reviewer Duncan Robertson lived with it for over two weeks across PS5 remote play, Xbox Game Pass and a spread of genres, measuring it against the GameSir G8 Galileo and Razer's Kishi V3 Pro. He concluded it beats both on the thing that decides this category, comfort, while landing well under Razer on price.
Most of that comes down to the grips, which he read as a full-size pro pad cut down the middle rather than a shrunken phone accessory, with genuine room for your little fingers over a long session. He also singled out the microswitch face buttons, the swappable thumbsticks, and the pivoting USB-C connector, which took a mid-test phone case change without needing the case off. For a controller he expects people to carry everywhere, his summary was that it replicates the feel of a full gamepad better than anything else he has tested on a phone.
